Marie Skłodowska-Curie Multi Initial Training Network (ITN) on Visible light based Interoperability and Networking
Co-funded by the European Union (EU)
Duration: September 2019 - September 2021
VisIoN aims to train a new generation of early-stage researchers in this emerging area and to make significant contributions to the fundamental scientific understanding and technical knowhow. Fraunhofer HHI hosts one Ph.D. student working on analogue VLC frontend design and channel measurements in industrial scenarios, covering principal design of LED driver and wide FOV receiver enabling high-speed modulation at optimized energy efficiency. Moreover, channel modelling is conducted based on measurements in realistic scenarios aiming at optimized MIMO algorithms and their performance evaluation. In VISION, Fraunhofer HHI leads WP4 on industrial and medical applications, hosts the 3rd training school as well as welcomes secondments of students from five VISION partners (ITAV Portugal, Ozyegin University, OSRAM, Ford Otosan and Ecole Centrale Marseille).
