Tatiana Rykova

Tatiana Rykova (Efimushkina) received her M.Sc. degree in Information Technology from Tampere University of Technology (TUT), Tampere, Finland, in 2013 and her B.Sc. and her M.Sc. degree (remotely) in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia aka RUDN University, Moscow, Russia, in 2012 and 2010, respectively. Since 2015, she has been with the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) and joined the Multimedia Communications Group in the Video Coding and Analytics Department in 2015. 

Her research interests lie in channel coding, feedback, cross-layer adaptation and analytical modelling of communication networks by means of a queuing theory in wireless communication and she authored more than 20 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the area of next-generation mobile communication. Currently, she is actively participating and supporting the 3GPP RAN1 5G standardization activities in the field of AI/ML for NR air interface.

She received a Best student paper award for the paper in EUVIP (06.2013), Paris, France.
