Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute celebrated its 90th anniversary within the framework of the Technology Innovation Science Match in cooperation with the Tagesspiegel. The event took place under the motto "90 years of excellent research for the digital society of the future", where 24 international scientists presented their current research projects to more than 700 guests. The focus of the ten-minute presentations was on the research work of the Fraunhofer HHI and thus on the collection, the transfer and processing of data as well as on video technology.
"We are delighted that the celebration on the occasion of our 90th anniversary went so well. We had an outstanding science conference with over 700 participants around the research areas of the Fraunhofer HHI. The speakers delivered very inspiring insights into their work and many of the topics are subject of the future research at Fraunhofer HHI. The next 90 years will be exciting," said Thomas Wiegand and Martin Schell, executive directors of Fraunhofer HHI.
