The 4th edition of the international innovation conference "Photonic Days Berlin Brandenburg" will take place as a hybrid event this year, due to Covid-19 security precautions. Two days will be held in an online-only format followed by two days of in-person seminars in Berlin-Adlershof. The event connects participants of the photonics community from different sectors and regions to stimulate cooperative innovation.
The Berlin Brandenburg region is not only an innovation hub for the key technologies of tomorrow, but also a start-up hotspot for digital and photonic technologies. At Photonics Days Berlin Brandenburg 2021, around 100 leading (inter)national experts will share their insights on the latest findings in the fields of photonics, optics, quantum technologies and microsystems engineering in numerous hybrid English-language seminars.
Several of these seminars will be held or co-organized by researchers from the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI), including Dr. Moritz Kleinert, Prof. Peter Eisert, Prof. Ronald Freund, Crispin Zawadzki and Prof. Björn Globisch.
The Photonics Days Berlin Brandenburg 2021 are jointly organized by "OpTecBB e. V., Cluster Photonics Berlin Brandenburg" and the "Enterprise Europe Network Berlin-Brandenburg". In addition to the regular online and hybrid seminars, the organizers also encourage networking by providing their platform for several B2B networking opportunities.
