Fraunhofer HHI has another professor in its ranks. Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Björn Globisch has recently been appointed Junior Professor of Terahertz Sensors in Solid State Physics (Faculty II) at the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin). Globisch received his certificate of appointment on September 27, 2019 from Prof. Christine Ahrend Vice President for Research, Appointment Strategy, Knowledge & Technology Transfer at the TU Berlin.
Björn Globisch received his doctorate in physics from Philipps-Universität Marburg in 2017. Even before graduating, he worked as a research assistant at Fraunhofer HHI. He is currently group leader of Terahertz Sensors and Systems research group of the Photonic Components Department at Fraunhofer HHI.
