Sebastian Bosse, Fraunhofer HHI researcher and group leader “Interactive & Cognitive Systems” within the "Vision and Imaging Technologies" department, reached two scientific milestones in recent weeks: He took on the role of Associate Editor with the renowned scientific publication IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (IEEE TIP). Additionally, he became a member of VISTA (Vision Science to Application), an international research center at York University in Toronto, Canada.
Due to his research achievements in the field of image processing, Sebastian Bosse was nominated for the prestigious position of Associate Editor at IEEE TIP. He took on the role in April this year. IEEE TIP publishes technical articles on theories, algorithms, and architectures for the formation, acquisition, processing, transmission, analysis, and display of images, videos, and other multidimensional signals for a variety of applications. The impact factor of the scientific journal is 9.4.
Moreover, Sebastian Bosse joined VISTA as a member in March this year. The VISTA research center located at York University in Toronto aims to bridge the gap between basic research and applications in an international and interdisciplinary way. VISTA integrates perspectives from visual neuroscience to computer vision to drive innovation. Membership enables access to seminars, conferences and workshops. It also allows financial support to facilitate collaborations within VISTA. Backed by the new roles, Sebastian Bosse will now further bring his expertise to his dedicated research field on an international level.
